Football enthusiasts in Kwara on Saturday applauded the excellent performance of the Super Eagles of Nigeria against their Congolese counterparts in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

They called for a repeat of the good outing in their last qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South African at home in Uyo on Wednesday.

The Eagles came back from their poor performance in the first half to defeat their hosts 2-0 in a make-or-mar match amidst tension in Brazaville, the Congolese capital.

NAN reports that the away victory reawakens the chance of the African Champions’ qualification for the most prestigious continental soccer fiesta in Equatorial Guinean.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) had on Friday awarded the hosting right to Equatorial Guinean after Morocco shelved its earlier bid to host over fear of Ebola Virus Disease.
