Dr Abdul Bulama, the Minister of Science and Technology, on Friday, said President Goodluck Jonathan’s transformation agenda heavily relied on science and technology.

Bulama stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, at his palace in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The minister, who described science and technology as “the in-thing now”, said no nation would achieve rapid development without science and technology.

“Science and technology are critical elements to the attainment of national growth and development.

“Development today is governed by science and technology, therefore, we must develop our science and technology if we must record any meaningful progress”.

The minister thanked the emir for his support not only to the institutes under the ministry stationed in Zaria but also for his support to the leadership of the country.
