The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rivers State chapter, Felix Obuah has given kudos to all aspirants wishing to contest the 2015 general elections on the platform of the party for successfully collecting their Expression of Intent (EOI) and Nomination forms.
Commending the aspirants for their interest and compliance with party directives through a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Jerry Needam, the chairman said they have shown sufficient proof of faith, loyalty and love for the PDP.
Reliving the party’s resolve to throw open all the elective offices to all qualified party members, the chairman said the essence is to be able to parade a formidable team that can win elections for the party.
Excited by the massive number of aspirants for the primaries, the party boss said this has shown that the process is transparent, acceptable, credible and that the PDP is on ground in the State and doubtlessly the people’s number one choice.
He however, stated that all aspirants will be given equal opportunity to compete fairly for their respective offices, stressing that the party must of necessity and purpose be fair and transparent in conducting the primaries.
