A substantive Vice Chancellor, Prof. Osasere Faradey Orumwense, has been appointed for the University of Benin (UNIBEN), by the University’s Governing Council.
He succeeds the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof. Osayuki Godwin Oshodin, whose tenure expires in November, 2014.
Orumwense, a Professor of Material Engineering, was until his appointment, Dean, Faculty of Engineering of UNIBEN.
The new Vice Chancellor had previously served as Rector of Edo state-owned Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Usen.
Prof. Orumwense had also served as Administrator of the Ekehuan Campus of the Institution.
