In his usual trail-blazing trend, Sola Fajobi, the quintessential creative entrepreneur, has set up a multi-million naira new distribution platform called eForce Entertainment.

According to Fajobi, the new company has the sole aim of boosting the Nigerian entertainment industry, noting that with a population of over 160 million people, there was no justification for any good Nollywood movie selling bellow 50,000 copies.

He said eForce will provide easy access to entertainment and creative works such as DVD of Nollywood movies, audio music CD, decoders, tickets to events, books and other entertainment productions to customers across the country.

“We want to help our artistes realise and promote their God-given talents. Our major goal of setting up the outfit is to create the best distribution system that will check the excesses of pirates, deliver quality content to people at their touch-points and at the best rate thereby gradually reduce the motivation for pirates,” Fajobi told P.M.NEWS Entertainment Cafe.

Biodun Awoyale, eForce’s Executive Director (Buiness Development), said aside piracy, the major challenge facing the creative works industry in Nigeria is an effective distribution model that allows target to access the original works of their favourite artistes within the week of release.

He said eForce will improve investor confidence and widen its customer base. The new platform is taking off with 5,000 outlets spread across the country with its headquarters in Ogba, Lagos.
