The motion for the late Adadevoh was moved by the member representing Mushin Constituency 1 at the House, Adefunmilayo Tejuoso and seconded by Muyiwa Jimoh.

Adadevoh died after contracting the Ebola Virus Disease from Liberian-American importer of the disease, Patrick Sawyer.

The House reckoned that the late medical doctor took the risk to prevent the spread of the disease by preventing Sawyer from leaving the hospital.

The lawmakers had on Monday called on both Lagos State and the Federal Government to honour the late Dr. Adadevoh.

At that sitting, the lawmakers suggested that it would be right to name the IDH after her.

At the Wednesday sitting, Speaker Adeyemi Ikuforiji directed the Clerk of the House, Segun Abiru, to communicate the decision of the House to Governor Fashola.
