Nigerians have been assured that the Super Eagles will redeem their image when they file out against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Cape Town in the 2015 Africa Cup of nation, AFCON, qualifying match tomorrow.

This was the position of Elderson Echiejile, who said the Eagles are focused on tomorrow’s AFCON qualifier against the South Africans after they lost 2-3 to Congo in Calabar at the weekend.

The African champions have already settled down in Cape Town since yesterday ahead of the AFCON showdown, while Coach Stephen Keshi is expected to join the team today.

“We had a bad game against Congo, but we will not dwell on this as we lost and another team won. We just have to look forward to the next game against South Africa,” he told his official website www.elderson3.com

“South Africa will most certainly be full of confidence after they won 3-0 in Sudan, but they also know that we have a very good record against them.

“We want to redeem ourselves on Wednesday, but we know we have a big fight on our hands.”

In January, Nigeria beat South Africa 3-1 at the 2014 CHAN.

Bafana are yet to win a competitive game against the Super Eagles.
