SDP promises to deliver corrupt-free governance to Deltans

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has fortified its mandate towards the eradication of corruption in Nigeria. The party has also promised to create job opportunities and provide good governance based on conscience if elected.

Speaking at a South-South caucus meeting of the party in Asaba on Saturday the national vice chairman South-South, Chief (Dr.) Martin Ohwevwo (JP) said the time was ripe for the party to take the right direction and avoid erroneous politics.

He unequivocally made it clear that the party’s readiness for all elections beginning with the forth coming local government elections in Delta state come 25 October 2014, cannot be overemphasized.

Ohwevwo commended Delta state government led by, Dr. Emmanuel Udughan for making the stage ready for the local government elections, noting that, the local government polls would enhance the grassroot growth and development.

Delta state Chairman of the SDP, Hon. Idawene Oke (JP) declared the party’s resolve under the dynamic leadership of Chief Olu Falae to support President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration for second term in office.

Those in attendance were, the National Assistant secretary South-South, Elder Ogona Isaac; state chairman of Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom and Cross Rivers States respectively.

Also present were, Vice Chairman (North) Mr. Emmanuel O. Idama, the Delta Central Senatorial Chairman, Chief A.E. Okagbare, party local government chairmen among others.

Meanwhile all the attendees in the meeting resolved to give the South-South a credible alternative.
