The 7 Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri said on Monday that it had “reviewed upward” the curfew imposed on Maiduguri and its environs.

Col. Sani Usman, the spokesman for the division, made this known in a statement issued in Maiduguri.

“With effect from Monday, curfew hours in Maiduguri Metropolis and environs have been reviewed forward.

“It is now from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily,” Usman said.

“All must comply with this directive. Anyone found violating this directive will be arrested and prosecuted,” the terse statement warned.
