With the “ember” months three days away, motorists in Ogun state have been warned by Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) against parking illegally in any part of the state, adding that, any vehicle that causes obstruction will be towed away.

The call came from the Ota Zonal Commander in Ogun State, Cdr. Adekunle Ajibade who embarked on a sensitization tour of many garages, companies and other places within the zone.

Ajibade hinted that the move became necessary, considering the cosmopolitan tendency of the area. He said the zone is considered to be the industrial base of the state as over seventy per cent of industries cited in Ogun state are located within the area.

In a statement issued on Thursday afternoon, he threatened to impound any obstructing vehicles without any waiver.

“Consequence upon several talks, symposiums, seminars that we have organised for drivers and road users ahead of the influx that comes around with the ’ember’ months which is just a few days ahead, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE will henceforth clamp down on motorists that park illegally or obstruct free flow of traffic in and around Sango Ota without any further waiver. Please, comply and be warned,” the statement read.
