Midfielder Asisat Oshoala has warned that the Super Falconets will be going on a revenge mission against Germany in the final of the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada on Sunday.

The River Angels player, who had scored seven goals so far in the tournament said: “Meeting Germany in the final on Sunday will be a return leg game, a revenge mission for Nigeria. We will play at our best again to win this final. We lost the trophy to them in the finals in 2010, which was a painful thing. I know my teammates will not allow a repeat of that again on Sunday. We are going to prepare extra hard and put up another good performance to avenge our defeat in 2010.”

Speaking on her dream before coming to the World Cup, Oshoala told goal.com: “I never knew I would be the leading scorer and win player-of-the-match awards. But when you get there the spirit in you tells you, ‘just keep doing what you know how to do best’. What I really planned to achieve in the competition was to put in my best in every game. And I’m happy the whole world is seeing my best.
