Lagos PMAN Advises Members On Ebola

The Lagos State chapter of Performing Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has cautioned its members to be mindful of the deadly Ebora virus in the day-to-day activities.

The Governor-General, Sir Kareem Ayinde Olomide Osoba a.k.a. Kabiyesi, gave the advice during a stakeholders’ meeting of the musicians’ body held in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos on Tuesday.

Osoba urged the members to adhere strictly to the state government’s directives on prevention of the disease following report of a couple of cases of Ebola in Lagos.

The PMAN chief disclosed further that the association had set up a special committee to educate and sensitise members on the prevention and management of the virus.

The committee, according to him, comprised of zonal chairmen and some executive council members saddled with the responsibility of briefing members in the their respective areas about the measures already taken by government to ensure that the virus does not spread in the state.

He disclosed further that a motorised rally would soon be staged by the association to further educate and sensitise members of the general public on prevention and management of the disease.

He urged members to maintain personal hygiene and to regularly wash their hands with soap and other cleansing chemicals including hand sanitisers.

On the stakeholders’ meeting, Osoba said it was called to iron out some pressing challenges facing the association and ways to further move the Nigerian music industry forward.
