ASKY airlines resumed flight operations to Nigeria on Saturday, after it was suspended by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority for flying a man infected by the deadly Ebola virus to Nigeria.

“After a series of meetings between top management of the airlines, health experts and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority – NCAA, ASKY’s daily flights are to resume successfully after a satisfactory report had been submitted with documentary evidence indicating a clear road map on all measures taken to prevent the spread of Ebola,” ASky said in a statement.

The company said the NCAA lifted the suspension after it satisfied some requirements. “Having carefully examined these measures put in place by your airline especially the suspension of flights into Ebola infected countries, the Management of NCAA has lifted the temporary suspension placed on your flight into and out of Nigeria”.
