Many residents of Abuja, the Nigerian capital stayed indoors Monday, avoiding usually boisterous, crowded places, such as the Eid praying ground and the Millenium Park.
Few people showed up at the Park on Monday, a place usually jam-packed by residents during holidays .Even the Eid praying ground did not have too many people.
At the Park, an armoured tank was stationed, hoping to ward off attackers.
Abuja, Nigeria’s capital had witnessed three bomb attacks by Boko Haram since April this year, with over 120 people dead.
