President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday sworn in former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Osita Chidoka, as the new Minister of Aviation.

The President also sworn in Dr. Suleman Abubakar, a former lecturer at University of Abuja as Minister of National Planning and Deputy Chairman of the National Planning Commission.

The two ministers were sworn before the commencement of the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council meeting.

The President also announced the appointment of Deputy Corps Marshal Boboye Oyeyemi as replacement for Chidoka in the FRSC in a move he said is to ensure continuity at the Commission.

The President who noted that this was the first time a Corps Marshall will be appointed from the Commission asked the new appointees to justify their appointments.
