The Minister of Sports, Tammy Danagogo, will on Tuesday meet with the Representatives of the 20 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs over football development in the country.

The Acting Secretary of Club Owners, Aloy Chukwuemeka, told NAN in a telephone interview on Sunday that the meeting would discuss the way forward for Nigeria football.

Chukwuemeka said it was imperative for the premier league clubs to meet with the minister to add their voice to the current crisis that almost attracted FIFA ban on the country’s football.

“As football administrators, we are the foundation of football management and administration, even FIFA recognises that fact too.

“So, we are in a position to give advice on the principles and protocols of football administration.

“Being that there is a little crisis in Nigeria football, we deem it fit to converse with the minister and suggest the way forward,” Chukwuemeka said.

NAN reports that the meeting scheduled to take place in Abuja will also deliberate on the way forward as the NPFL 2013/2014 season enters its concluding phase.

Club owners had last week after their meeting in Abuja, agreed to meet with the minister to present their position on the lingering crisis rocking the Nigeria football.
