Osita Chidoka, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission, has charged 23 newly promoted Corps Commandants of the commission to brace to the challenges of their new rank.

Chidoka, represented by Deputy Corps Marshal Ayodeji Omidiji, gave the charge at the decoration of the senior officers on Friday.

One of the benefiaries, Mr Bisi Kazeem, Deputy Corps Public Education Officer, said the promotion would propel them to do more for the commission.

“We am elated because to be promoted as corps commandant is not something that is very easy, many were called but few were chosen.

“To whom much is given, much is expected; I want to pledge that with this, we will do more.

“We will continue to help in saving lives and improve on the performance that has earned us this rank,” he said.

Kazeem was appointed deputy spokesman of the commission in 2009. It will be recalled that 18 senior officers, including three deputy corps marshals and 15 assistant corps marshals who benefitted from the recent promotion were decorated with their new rank on Monday.
