Spokesman of the association, former Super Eagles’ midfielder, Paul Okoku, said the mini-convention will afford the delegates the opportunity to fashion out ways through which they can help shape the future of Nigerian football as well as impact the lives of ex-internationals who are not doing well after retiring from playing
for Nigeria.

“It is important to note that our objectives are the driving force for our mini convention. Our adopted objectives are: to promote the development of football in Nigeria, to look after the welfare of former national team players, to serve as ambassadors of football and to be a voice for Nigerian footballers in Nigeria and in the Diaspora.
