Overland begins Abuja-Dutse flights

Overland Airways, on Tuesday 15 July, announced the commencement of scheduled flight operations from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to the new Dutse International Airport in Jigawa State.

“Effective Monday, July 14, 2014, Overland Airways will commence thrice weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) to Dutse from Abuja and return,” the statement by the airline read.

Captain Edward Boyo, Chief Executive Officer of Overland Airways, was quoted as saying that the commencement of scheduled flights operations on the Abuja-Dutse-Abuja route is part of the airline’s objective to facilitate air transportation between the major cities of Nigeria.

Boyo congratulated the Jigawa state government and its executive governor, Sule Lamido, for the quick completion of the Jigawa Airport project. He said Overland Airways will serve the good people of Jigawa State efficiently.
