Nigeria and Benin would meet clash for the first time in six years at the semi-finals of WAFU B Tournament in Togo on Friday 25 April.

The match which will kick off at 6:30pm (Nigerian time) is one for the fans to relish. The match takes place immediately after hosts Togo play Mali in the other semi-final at the same venue.

The Golden Eaglets are the only team at the tournament with a hundred per cent record and Coach Emmanuel Amuneke is upbeat that his team would continue with the winning streak.

Indeed, there would be a lot to play for when Nigeria face Benin. The Little Squirrels eliminated Nigeria in Algeria 2009 African Under-17 Tournament on 3-2 aggregate.

It is against this backdrop that Golden Eaglets would bear their fangs against their opponent who only secured a berth into the semi finals of the competition after Cote d’Ivoire held hosts, Togo to a pulsating 1-1 draw on Wednesday night. The Beninois had earlier beaten Cote d’Ivoire 2-1 in the qualifying stage.
