Rufai: Eagles Can Go Far In Brazil

Ex-Super Eagles goalkeeper, Peter Rufai, has predicted a good outing for the Super Eagles at the Brazil World Cup, which kicks off on 11 June.

Adebobola  Alawode reports that the former Deportivo La Coruna of Spain goalkeeper hinged his optimism on the calibre of players at the disposal of the technical crew.

Rufai, who played for Sporting Lokeren of Belgium wants the team to begin early preparation so that the players can blend before the World Cup kicks off.

According to the ex Farense of Portugal goalkeeper: ‘‘What they need to do now is to make plans on who to take what position against certain teams at the World Cup; perfecting strategies should be part of their activities now.”

Meanwhile, plans are in top gear by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to engage the Eagles in an international friendly match with Croatia.

The NFF President, Aminu Maigari said the federation is still in talks with their Croatian counterpart to see how the friendly match would hold before the mundial begins.

The NFF has already lined up three matches for the Eagles and they would be against Greece, Scotland and the United States of America, USA.
