President Goodluck Jonathan has said only the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can save Nigeria. He said this at the South-East Zonal Rally of the PDP in Enugu.

“Nigeria is a great country and for us to push forward, we need people of great minds to lead. PDP is the only party that can salvage this country, change the economy and the people,” he said.

He stated that the party will not only save Nigeria but will provide democratic leadership. He said that the world looked up to PDP to provide Nigerians with democratic leadership devoid of rancour.

He then commended people of the South-East for their commitment, dedication, resilience and support for the party, and assured that his administration would not disappoint them.

“I thank our party loyalists at all levels in the South-East. Today, we are here for a unity rally and it is very clear that the South-East is a PDP zone,” he said.

“We promise the South-Easterners and Nigerians that we will not disappoint them.
