Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, southwest, Nigeria has approved the promotion of 2,141 civil servants.
In a statement issued Tuesday by the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Chief (Mrs.) Susan Aderonke Folarin, those promoted include 1,249 senior officers on Grade Level 07 to Grade Level 17.
She said 717 junior officers on Grade Level 01 to Grade Level 06 also benefitted and the remaining 75 officers were either upgraded or involved in inter-cadre transfers.
Mrs. Folarin noted that since inception of the Amosun led administration in the State,it had demonstrated commitment to workers’ welfare as it has been paying salaries, leave bonuses and ensuring promotions as at when due.
She therefore enjoined the entire workforce, particularly those just being promoted to reciprocate government’s gesture by making meaningful contributions to the “Mission to Rebuild” agenda of the government.
