BoldFaces star, Tricia Esiegbe Kerry, has launched a new campaign to tackle child sexual abuse.

The actress-turned-talk show hostess made the announcement recently during a meeting with the Inspector-General of Police, M.D Abubakar, at the Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, Garki, Abuja.

Tricia’s new advocacy project, The Psychologist, P.M.NEWS Entertainment Cafe learnt, is a public awareness campaign project designed to expose sexual predators within Nigeria and also to create a support platform for victims of child molestation and to get the authorities to do more in supporting children.

The IGP applauded Tricia and her Boldfaces team for embarking on such a wonderful project. He instructed all 36 state commissioners of police and 12 DIG’s to work closely and give all the necessary support to The Psychologist team nationwide.

Abubakar was later presented with Boldfaces Special Award of Excellence, for his excellent work since assumption of office.

Meanwhile, Tricia said The Psychologist is set to launch its planned Celebrity Road Show campaign and also visit schools nationwide.

“We are going to hold town hall meetings in every state across Nigeria to educate our people about ways to protect our young and vulnerable children from sexual abuse,” she said.
