The Nigerian police Command in Ogun state, western Nigeria, today arrested seven persons suspected of destroying the portaits of President Goodluck Jonathan hung at the burgled secretariat of the Labour Party Secretariat in the State.
The suspects were also accused of masterminding the burglary of the Secretariat in Adatan, Abeokuta, the
State capital on Saturday.
Those arrested are: Ismail Odejimi, Asade Adewale, Nurudeen Ayomatokunje, Nuru Olaleye, Soji Adegbola, Micheal Ranti Adegbola and John Olaleye.
The Secretary of the party, Sunday Ogini made the allegations, but the police have vowed to get to the root of the matter, especially because the suspects belong to a faction of the party, fighting to wrest control from Ogini’s faction.
