Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki has described the current governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed as a worthy successor.
Saraki, Ahmed’s predecessor applauded Ahmed on his Twitter handle, @bukolasaraki, when congratulating his successor on his 50th birthday.
“I felicitate with our dear Governor, His Excellency, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State as you add another year today. I thank Allah for keeping you to see this day.”
Saraki joined the hundreds of thousands of Nigerians that congratulated the governor on Twitter. He added that: “I pray that Allah will continue to grant you good health, sound mind, peace, joy and long life as you continue to steer the ship of our great state to higher heights.”
Saraki then wished Ahmed many more years in good health. “On behalf of my family and I, I wish you many prosperous years ahead.”
Saraki who is representing Kwara Central served as governor of Kwara State for eight years. Recently, Saraki and Ahmed defected to the All Progressives Congress from the Peoples Democratic Party.
