International fashion icons, Alek Wek and Angela Simmons, have been confirmed as guests and presenters for the third edition of the popular Music Meets Runway, MMR, holding tomorrow at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The two fashion personalities will be strutting the runway alongside notable Nigerian entertainment and fashion celebrities led by Afrobeat icon and four-time Grammy award nominee, Femi Kuti.
Other stars expected to grace the event are 2face Idibia, D’Banj, Ice Prince, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Sheyi Shey, Lola Rae and Toni Tones.
The 2013 Music Meets Runway has been tagged iconic edition. It is a year when icons from music and fashion industry will be meeting rising stars and icons in the making.
One of the highlights of tomorrow’s event will be the introduction of five fashion designers and their models that will light up the stage with their eclectic designs and new trends in the fashion industry.
The designers are Deola Sagoe, The Okunoren Twins, Mai Atafo, Ituen Bassey and Lanre Da-Silva,
“This year, we are only giving performances fit for kings and queens. There will be no dull moment immediately the red-carpet opens. The plan is grand; the execution will be every inch iconic. It is the kind of event which memory will linger for months to come,” said Jennifer Olize, CEO, Le Reve Events, organisers of the fashion cum music show.
IK Osakioduwa, popular On-Air Personality, will be the host of the event.
Music Meets Runway is a platform that effortlessly allows music and fashion mingle in order to create a genial atmosphere for lovers of fashion designs and music to relate.
