The 8th edition of Ikeja City Awards will take place on Sunday 15 December at De Hall Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos State with both Miss Capital City Nigeria and Most Beautiful Girl in Eko Queens as guests of honour.
The entourage of the two queens will be led by Mr. Scherey Momoh, CEO, Ereon Pageantry and Say Publishing Company.
Speaking on the event, Mr. Shola Olugbemiro, the awards’ executive director, said this year’s awards with the theme “Taxation: Effects on Individuals and Organisations”, has been planned to be different from previous editions.
He said Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), Governor of Lagos State, is the special guest of honour. The guest speaker is Mr. Tunde Fowler, Executive Chairman, Lagos Inland Revenue Service; Chief Host is Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, while the co-host is Wale Odunlami, Chairman, Ikeja Local Government.
The Royal Fathers of the day are Oba Raufu Matemi, Olu of Ikeja and Oba Mumunideen Olatunji Yusuf, Oba of Onigbongbo, while Mrs. Lola Akande, Deputy Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly is the mother of the day.
A week ago, the two queens were among the top celebrities invited to grace the 10th year Anniversary of AfricaMagic. Also last month, Most Beautiful Girl in Eko Queens led by Queen Tomisin Oyelere, were invited for the 16th year anniversary of Eric’s Entertainment and Face of Edo Beauty Pageant 2013.
