Two-time Africa Champions Enyimba International of Aba have been tipped to win this year’s Federation Cup final scheduled for Lagos State on 15 September.
Former Super Eagles’ Coach, Shuaib Amodu told P.M.NEWS Sports yesterday in Benin, Edo State after watching Enyimba beating Lobi Stars 1-0 to qualified for the final of the competition that with the performance of the team, he saw them clinching the trophy in Lagos.
“There is no doubt that the team are good for the Federation Cup trophy. They played good football today (yesterday). I’m quite impressed and I believe that can win the cup in Lagos. It has been long Enyimba have been in the topflight like this and I know that this will spur them for the trophy at stake this year,” said Amodu, who is the Technical Director of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
Sole Administrator of Enyimba, Felix Anyansi Agwu, a board member of the NFF said that having come this far, his team will leave nothing to chance to win the Federation Cup this year and the Glo Premier League, where they are currently leading on the table.
