Holyfield, Tyson Visit Nigeria  print

Other things being equal, two former undisputed boxing world champions, Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson are expected to visit Nigeria this weekend, P.M.NEWS Sports has scooped.

Information on good authority has it that the former professional boxers are expected in Lagos on Friday to visit FESTAC Boxing Gym and Academy situated inside the Federal Housing Authority, FHA playground, 23 Road, FESTAC Town on Saturday.

Oluwafemi Sholanke, who was a professional heavyweight boxer turned boxing coach, informed that both boxers would use the opportunity to spot talented amateur boxers to see how they can them develop their talents.

Sholanke stated further that after visiting the gym, both boxers would likely square up in the ring inside the gym of Golden Tulip Hotel, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos from where they would proceed to the Black Heritage, Badagry.

According to Sholanke, “plans are in top gear to play host to two world boxing champions. Amuwo Odofin Local Government led by Comrade Ayodele Adewale is working round the clock to ensure that our two visitors from America have a swell time during their short stay in the country.”
