Speaking at the end of the championship, Head Mistress, Ifeyinwa Terry-Maxwell advised parents to encourage their children to take part in sporting activities to bolsters their mental alertness and academic development.

“My advice to parents is that any school they want to take their children, they should ensure that there are sporting facilities. Sports help children mentally. It makes a child more relax in the classroom and learning becomes easier. Education is not just about reading and writing, it requires mental alertness,” she said.

The school’s Head of Administration, Pastor Felicia Dele Salau said: “I feel so good that students of Word of Power Group of Schools are being exposed to a robust education both mental and physical.”
