Governor Seriake Dickson who described Azazi as an Ijaw hero, said the state would accord him a ‘befitting burial’.

“The late Gen. Azazi will be given a befitting burial, in recognition of his enviable record of service to the state and the country,’’ Dickson said in the statement signed by his chief press secretary, Mr Daniel Iworiso-Markson.

The statement quoted Dickson as saying that late General Azazi’s remains would be laid to rest at the Ijaw National Heroes Park in Yenagoa.

I hope this is not the Abacha / Diya state burial made real? A state or Government intent on a state honor will carry his remains home. I hope this is not how to serve his undeserved punishment. How one wishes the dead could talk?
