Afikuyomi Returns To Acting

Former Action Congress of Nigeria governorship aspirant in Lagos State, Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, is set to stage a return to acting with a role in The Valley Between, a soap opera produced by Tunji Bamishigbin’s Rockview Productions.

Other celebrities, who will also be part of The Valley Between’s season four recording include Yomi Badejo Okusanya, Dan Imoudu of the Village Headmaster fame and King Wasiu Ayinde, K1. Veteran actress, Bukky Ajayi, Dejumo Lewis, Taiwo Obileye, Lilian Amah and Titi Osinowo are some of the old cast of the series showing exclusively on AIT Network every Sunday.

The producer, Tunji Bamishigbin who observed his youth service together with Afikuyomi, disclosed that acting has always been part of the politician-turned hospitality business man’s hobbies.

Bamishigbin stressed that during their NYSC days, he and Afikuyomi were members of a drama group, where they nurtured passion for acting. “But along the line, he (Afikuyomi) veered into politics. But one thing I can tell you is that he is a fantastic actor.”

Afikuyomi, in The Valley Between, will play the character of an American based business mogul, who invests in Nigeria’s tourism sector with Damazio (Taiwo Obileye), one of the lead characters in the production.

K1, Bamishigbin added, plays the role of a surveyor and Prince, whose father owns the several hectares of land where the tourism project will take place. “The unusual twists, intrigues and of course the captivating storyline are what you won’t want to miss.”
