The sleepy town of Ayobo, Ipaja, Lagos, will come alive on 27 December, when the crème de la crème of the Yoruba film industry storm the area for an event tagged Bada Unity Back on Stage.
The event, organised by the area’s coordinator of Association of Nigeria Theatre Practitioners (A.N.T.P), Prince Okiki Ademola, will have in attendance Prince Jide Kosoko, Alhaji Akeem Aleem, Prince Oyeneye and other established Yoruba st
ars like Moji Olaiya, Bukky Wright, Yetunde Wunmi and Elegbeje Ado among others.
Also expected at the gathering are Remilekun Ayodele, Aina Kushoro and Alhaji Toyin Uthman of Toymax Films.
Prince Ademola, a graduate of Theatre Arts from University of Benin, said the event will revive the Bada Unit of ANTP.
“We want to use the event to tell people that Bada Unit is back on stage. It is going to be a big event. Ever since Bada was established, and even in Alimosho Local Government as a whole, this is the first of its kind,” said Ademola.
