The new SsangYong Actyon Sports Pick-up is a utility truck with a difference. Uniquely designed to outmaneuver competitions, Actyon Sports comes equipped with a kerb weight of 1, 944kg which is approximately 400kg more than several other contenders in its class.

Described as one of the byproducts of acquisition partnership with Daimler-Benz, the Korean automaker, SsangYong had sought to make Actyon one of the world’s most outstanding Utes, using the Mercedes Benz know-how. Actyon Sports Pick-up’s amazing dynamism is manifest in the structure of the ladder frame chassis which ensures good off-road ability with sophisticated Part Time drive systems.

According to Mr. Jatin Nadkarni, Director, Sales and Marketing, SsangYong Motors Nigeria, “buying a new SsangYong Actyon Sports Pick-up is unbelievably the wisest investment any fleet operator or commercial user could do at this time.”

He also told automobile media at a recent press launch of SsangYong range of automobiles in Lagos that Actyon Sports Pick-up compares to popularly applauded pick-ups when prospecting for affordably priced solutions for haulage and other commercial uses.

Built tough yet dynamic, Actyon Sports Pick-up comes with 4 cylinder 2.3litre petrol engine that generates 149Ps of power and 214Nm of torque at 3500rpm. Considering the hefty kerb weight, fuel economy is a respectable 7.8L per 100kms for the five speed manual. Actyon Sports ‘Pick-up rides quietly. However, on smooth surfaces (when driven sensibly), it stays relatively refined with excellent power from an efficient 2.3litre petrol engine.
