Just when Nigerians thought it was going to be a violence-free Sallah weekend, a bomb blast has rocked Ungwar Yero in the Nigerian city of Kaduna.

It happened around 8.30 a.m today at St. Rita Catholic Church.

Witnesses said a suicide bomber had rammed a car loaded with bomb into the church.

One witness confirmed three members of the church dead along with the suicide bomber. His shattered body was carried away in a pick up van.

Another witness explained that the suicide bomber , who parked his Honda CRV car outside the church premises waited until the Mass commenced and then at about 8.30am tried to force himself through the entrance gate but when he was refused entry by security men stationed at the gate, he forced himself through and the bomb in the car exploded .

“We saw the car parked outside the church, when we were going in for morning mass but we never suspected that the guy is a suicide bomber, it is unfortunate ”, he said.

According to him, the Reverend father of the church and many others were injured.

News of the attack on the church spread like bush fire around Kaduna, making those trying to attend church services return home and triggering fears that Christian youths may plot an attack against Muslims.
.
Earlier, fears had been expressed that the bomb could cause grave damage as it reverberated like a 7.0 earthquake.

Shehu Musa, a resident of Malali neighborhood told P.M.News that the bomb blast caused panic across Malali area with many residents scampering for safety before it was discovered later that it was a bomb explosion, which occurred far off. The church is located in the community.

“The blast shook the whole area and it was obvious that it was a bomb, ” Musa said.

Soldiers and policemen have promptly cordoned off the main road leading to the area as they moved in to assess the damage.

“ Experience has shown that each a bomb went off, there could be another bomb planted around so ,we take precautionary measures to stop traffic until we secure the area effectively,” said one of the soldier manning the barricade.

Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer , Aminu Lawan said the police and other security agencies are on top of the situation and will ensure the safety of lives and property of the citizens within the area.

It was not clear if the bomb was planted by the Boko Haram bombers.

I guess the victims of the bomb blast at the Catholic Church in Kaduna (those alive but with severe injuries) should be flown to Germany immediately…if the lives of average Nigerians means much to our leaders….THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT US…..

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.

Why are the nations so angry? Why are the people making such foolish plans? Their kings and leaders join together to fight against the Lord and his chosen king. They say, “Let’s rebel against them. Let’s break free from them!” But the one who rules in heaven laughs at them. The Lord makes fun of them.
He speaks to them in anger, and it fills them with fear. He says, “I have chosen this man to be king, and he will rule on Zion, my holy mountain.” Let me tell you about the Lord’S agreement: He said to me, “Today I have become your father, and you are my son. If you ask, I will give you the nations. Everyone on earth will be yours. You will rule over them with great power. You will scatter your enemies like broken pieces of pottery!” So, kings and rulers, be smart and learn this lesson. Serve the Lord with fear and trembling.
Show that you are loyal to his son, or the Lord will be angry and destroy you.
He is almost angry enough to do that now, but those who go to him for protection will be blessed.

Is unfortunate! It is only God that will fish out the sponsors/ perpetrators of this evil act…. Mind you God will not be watching His children perishing everyday mostly on the day of our Lord JESUS Christ…. But what i know is that the consequences of sin is death and hell fire…

If your religion encourages me to kill myself and others to ensure I get to “heaven” then I’d rather go to hell than go to your heaven. If your “God” is only a god of your religion and not other men (which you claim he created) then that casts a huge shadow of doubt on the divinity of your so called “God” To be inhumane is to be undivine.

Let me state a couple of truths : (1)There is no God that will ask a human being to kill another human being for him. He has the power to do it himself, if necessary. (2) you can NEVER force someone to believe what you believe- faith comes from within. Your asking someone to voice, at knife-point, (or gun-point, take your pick ) that they believe in your God does no one any good- not them, because whatever they say doesn’t count (unless they truly believe it), and not you- because you just become a murderer for no reason.
I can share Jesus with you, but I can’t make you believe what i believe – you have to come to the realization yourself ( while I’m praying in the background that Jesus reveals himself to you) ….I am sure it is the same thing with any faith.

A man drives an SUV and rams it into a church. Is this poverty?Definitely not. It is some rich persons behind this heinous crimes against the Church and the nation. Though sorrow may last for the night, JOY COMES IN THE MORNING! And then, the light shall shall shine and darkness will comprehend it not. They shall have no hiding place who delight in darkness perpetrating evil, destruction and death. Then their seeds sown shall yield to them the fruits of their deeds in abundance. This we pray through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
