ACN sets up council for Ondo campaign group

The Governing Council of Independent Campaign Network, a platform to complement, fortify and fast track the efforts of Aketi Compaign Organisation of the Ondo State Chapter of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in achieving huge success in the coming 20 October, governorship poll in the state has been inaugurated.

According to a statement by Bosun Oladimeji, Director, Media and Publicity of the group, the inauguration took place on Monday, 10 September, 2012 in Akure.

A serving Senator representing the Northern Senatorial district of the state, Prof. Ajayi Borrofice, was appointed as the Chairman of the governing council.

Other members of the Council are Mr Dele Ogunsakin, Wale Akinterinwa who is also the Coordinating Director of the group, Ifedayo Abegunde and Adewale Omojua.

Also inaugurated is Olu Mekuleyi as director of Logistics and Research, while Mrs Kemi Iyantan heads Directorate of Finance and Adminisration (DFA).

A seasoned media practitioner, Bosun Oladimeji is to man the Directorate of Media and Publicity and Femi Adekanbi was appointed to head the Directorate of Security.

Others are Ifedayo Abegunde for Mobilization, Mrs Mayi Alaka for Women Affairs and Nimbe Tawose was appointed the Special Adviser to the Coordinating Director.

Senator Borrofice, while inaugurating the team, urged members to see the appointment as a call to service, noting that it is the collective responsibility of all members of the ACN to send packing the Labour Party from Alagbaka Government House.

He stressed the need to work in one spirit and in unison with other structures put in place by the ACN leadership to succeed in the state.

The lawmaker said the group is to complement and crown the efforts of the AKeti Campaign Organization with a view to achieving a landslide victory in next month’s election.

Also inaugurated are members of various committees which include Mobilization, Security, Logistics and Women Affairs.
