Chris Okotie Eulogises Late Pastor Connie Madubuko

The late Pastor (Mrs.) Connie Madubuko who died on 6 July, 2012, was today buried at the Garden and Vaults, a private cemetery at Ikoyi, Lagos.

A funeral sevice was held for the deceased today at the Revival Assembly, Ogba.

A service of songs was also held for the deceased yesterday at the church auditorium. In his semon at the occasion, Pastor Chris Okotie of the Household of God, Oregun described the late Connie Madubuko as a bridge builder who was nice to all. He urged those present not to cry but celebrate the passage of the child of God who is now resting in the bossom of the Almighty.

’The Lord has taken Connie to a place of rest and she is seated at the right hand of God,’’ he added.

During his sermom, Okotie spoke about the early stage of Christianity and how Eve was deceived by Satan to make Adam eat out of the forbidden fruit. “The Bible makes us to believe that immediately Adam ate out of the forbidden fruit, his eyes were open to see the works of God. God protected the tree of life. Before we were born into the world, God has planted a tree and once we die, the tree is cut off by God. Connie’s death is by God. She is resting in God’s dwelling place now and the devil cannot do anything to harm her because she has finished the works of her creator. He urged thoose present to be nice to people and be friendly with one another. He said Connie’s deeds will be remembered for many years to come.

The Women Fellowship of the church also paid their tributes to the late Connie Madubuko, describing her as a mother of all mothers and a friend who was nice and committed to Christ. We will not grief anymore because Connie Madubuko is in the hands of her creator,’’ they stated.
