Tell ur pesident to represent his budget and reduce and remove some of the outrageous items in the budget and use the money to fund subsidy. Really it is beyound subsidy but also corruption and cost of running goverment. It is outrageous for a senator in nigeria to earn more than the america president .

What do you have to say about the expenses in abuja? This demonstration has gone beyond subsidy alone but the total injustice being perpetrated by the government. Sponsor or no sponsor, the subsidy must be returned for now.

THE SUBSIDY IS FOR ONLY IMPORTATION. OUR REFINERIES IF WORKING AT FULL CAPACITY (IMPOSSIBLE) CAN ONLY GIVE US ABOUT 19.00 MILLION LITRES, THEREFORE THE SUBSIDY ON PMS IS FOR ABOUT 16.00 MILLION THAT SHOULD BE IMPORTED TO AUGMENT THE LOCAL PRODUCTION.
HOWEVER, BECAUSE OF THE STATE OF DISREPAIR AND PREVIOUS GOVT NEGLECT THE TOTAL AVERAGE CAPACITY OF THE REFEINERIES FLUCTUATES BETWEEN 55% – 65%.

ALSO, NNPC PURCHASE CRUDE AT INTERNATIONAL MARKET BUT THIS CRUDE IS LOST THROUGH THE PIPELINES (VANDALISM), STEALING AND THE REMAINING 60% – 75%THAT GETS TO REFINERY IS NOT FULLY UTILISED. WHY? THE FCCU AT THE REFINERIES ARE EITHER BROKEN DOWN OR ALWAYS MALFUNCTIONING. THE PREVIOUS GOVTS REFUSED TO FUND THE REPAIR AND UPGRADING OF THESE REFINERIES BECAUSE THEY WANT TO MAINTAIN IMPORTATION THAT BENEFITS THEM AND THEIR CRONIES.

ANOTHER THING IS THAT IN ANTICIPATION OF THE SIGNING OF ANOTHER CONTRACT FOR IMPORTATION, THESE IMPORTERS HAVE NEGOTIATED AND PROCURED PMS FROM OVERSEAS WITH THE CARGOES ENROUTE NIGERIA (BUSINESS AS USUAL). UNFORTUNATELY, THE JANUARY SUBSIDY REMOVAL CAUGHT THEM UNAWARES………NO FREE LUNCH. THE MAGOMAGO THAT GOES ON IN THE PETROLEUM DOWNSTREAM IS BETTER IMAGINED. PETER ESELE (OF TUC) WAS ONCE PETROLEUM INDUSTRY UNION CHIEF AND HE IS A MAJOR BENEFICIARY OF THESE IMPORTERS. THE IMPORTERS ARE THE ONES FUNDING THE STRIKE.
THEY ALL KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING……….NIGERIANS BEWARE.

WHY DO YOU THINK OUR FOREIGN RESERVE IS DEPLETED, ONE OF THE REASON IS THE FUNDING OF PETROLEUM SUBSIDY. ALSO THE IMPORTERS HAVE A WAY OF BUYING PMS FROM NNPC AND PUTTING IT UP AS IMPORTATION IN ORDER TO COLLECT THE SUBSIDY………IS THIS NOT FRAUD.

BECAUSE OF THE STATE OF DISREPAIR, NNPC HAS TO IMPORT PMS AND STORE IN THESE MARKETERS’ STORAGE FACILITY AND ALSO PAY THEM ABOUT N5.00 PER LITRE. NNPC STORAGE FACILITY NEEDS TO BE REBUILT BUT THE GOVT PROVIDED NO FUND, SO TO ENSURE THE AVAILABILITY OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS THESE IMPORTERS FACILITY HAVE TO BE USED IF THE AVAILABLE NNPC STORAGE CANNOT SUSTAIN THE INCOMING CARGOES.

THAT IS WHY TINUBU IS SHOUTING HIMSELF HOARSE ABOUT NO REMOVAL OF SUBSIDY (HE IS LINKED TO OANDO), BABANGID IS LINKED TO CONOIL ETC.

GOVT DECISION WAS A MASTERSTROKE TO BREAK THE BACK OF THE CARTEL THAT HAS HELD NIGERIANS TO RANSOM.
