Ojubanire's Son Out With New Album

Alhaji Adeniyi Adisa Ojubanire, son of the late Alhaji Haruna Ishola’s talking drummer, Ojubanire, has released an album titled Independence.

Adisa started with Musiliu Haruna Ishola’s band in 1986 and played with Queen Salawa Abeni and Bashiru Ayinla Cotonou, before setting up his own band called Apala Royal Band in 1996.

This was after the death of his father popularly called Ojubanire onilu ola.

Baba Mukulumuke, as he is popularly called, said that his call is divine and it is to show to the general public that apart from the fact that drummers are the pillars of  musicians, they can also sing. “That is why I came out with this album to prove critics wrong,” he concluded.
